Bhubaneswar: The intensity of the cold wave prevailing in Odisha has decreased since last night as only eight places in the state recorded minimum temperatures (night temperatures) below 10°C during the last 24 hours compared to 16 places a day before.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Koraput experienced the coldest night in the state recording 6.6°C yesterday.
Other places where the minimum temperature was below 10°C include Daringbadi (7°C), G. Udayagiri (7.4°C), Keonhar (8.8°C), Sundargarh (9°C), Kirei (9.4°C ), Phulbani (9.5°C), and Semiliguda (9.6°C).
Dry weather prevailed across the state, and shallow to dense fog occurred in several places of Odisha affecting normal life. The weather conditions will remain dry for the next few days. The sky is likely to remain cloudy for most of the day.
