Bhubaneswar: After a day’s break, the cold wave has made a comeback in Odisha, bringing with it a significant drop in temperatures. As the cold wave clouds cleared, the mercury plummeted across coastal places.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Jharsuguda recorded a low of 9.4°C, marking a drop of 2.2°C. Keonjhar saw the mercury dip to 11.6°C, a drop of 3.4°C. Bhubaneswar, the state capital, recorded a temperature of 13.4°C, a significant drop of 3.6°C.
Balasore recorded 14°C temperature at 5:30 am, a drop of 3°C, while Chandbali recorded 14.8°C, a decrease of 1.4°C. Paradip also experienced a drop, with temperatures reaching 15°C, down by 1.6°C.
Residents are advised to bundle up and stay warm as the cold wave continues to grip the state.
