Bhubaneswar: A cold wave continues to sweep across Odisha, with Rourkela recording a bone-chilling 8°C, followed by Jharsuguda at 8.2°C.
According to the India Meteorological Department, Keonjhar recorded 10.2°C, Sambalpur recorded 11.4°C, Hirakud recorded 12.2°C, while the capital city, Bhubaneswar, registered a temperature of 12.6°C.
Coastal Odisha also registered cold wave conditions with Balasore shivering at 14.2°C, Gopalpur at 14.3°C, Chandbali at 14.5°C, Paradip at 14.9°C, and Puri at 16.6°C.
Meanwhile, the regional weather office attributed the drop in temperature to the influence of a western disturbance. As the night temperature continues to dip, residents are advised to take necessary precautions to stay warm and safe.
