Bhubaneswar: A cold wave has gripped Odisha, with temperatures plummeting across the state. The lowest temperature was recorded in G. Udayagiri in Kandhamal district at 3.1°C, followed by Semiliguda in Koraput district at 3.6°C.
Other districts experiencing low temperatures include Jharsuguda and Rourkela, with minimum temperatures of 7.1°C and 7.2°C, respectively. The temperature in Keonjhar was recorded at 9.6°C, Sambalpur at 10.8°C, Hirakud at 11.4°C, and Bhubaneswar at 12.6°C.
Coastal areas also witnessed a dip in temperature, with Gopalpur recording 13.4°C, Balasore 13.5°C, Chandbali 14.4°C, Paradip 14.1°C, and Puri 16.4°C.
According to IMD, a cold wave is expected to grip Odisha for the next two weeks, with possibilities of cold wave conditions prevailing in both weeks.
