Bhubaneswar: There seems to be no respite from the cold wave gripping Odisha, with temperatures plummeting across the state.
Jharsuguda recorded a temperature of 7.4°C at 5:30 am today, marking a significant drop of 6.2°C from previous days. Other places recorded temperatures as follows: Keonjhar at 9.2°C, Balasore at 11.2°C, Bhubaneswar at 11.4°C, Chandbali at 12.4°C, and Paradip at 12.4°C.
The cold wave conditions are expected to persist, with minimum temperatures likely to fall further by 2-4°C over the next three days.
According to IMD prediction for today, cold wave conditions will prevail in Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Koraput, Angul, Cuttack, and Jagatsinghpur districts. These districts have been issued yellow warning.
The cold wave conditions are expected to continue on January 8 and 9.
As per the prediction, cold wave conditions are very likely to prevail in isolated pockets over districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Koraput, Angul, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur on January 8 and January 9.
