Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for cold wave to prevail in five districts – Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Angul.
According to the IMD, Northwesterly/ northerly dry and cold wind at lower levels is penetrating over Odisha and under its influence isolated cold wave is very likely to occur during next two days in the State.
Cold wave situation will continue as no large change in minimum temperature (Night temperature) is expected during the next 2 days, the IMD forecast read.
There will be gradual rise by 2-3 degrees in subsequent period over the districts of Odisha. The minimum temperature is very likely to be below normal by 3 to 5 degrees at many places over next 3 days.
