Jajpur: Students of Abhimanyu Samant Sinhar College locked the main gate of the college protesting police inaction against a professor who allegedly misbehaved with a girl student and fled.
As per reports, the mother of the girl student who was subjected to misbehaviour filed a complaint with Ramachandrapur police seeking the arrest of the accused professor. Based on the complaint, police filed a case in this connection on January 16.
However, despite the allegations, the accused teacher has not been arrested yet, sparking student outrage. The protesters, including the victim and her fellow students, blocked the college gate, demanding justice.
On the fateful day, the student had come to the college to appear for a practical examination. However, the accused teacher took her to another room, where she was allegedly mistreated, as stated in her written complaint. The student disclosed the incident to her mother and filed a complaint at Bari Ramchandrapur police station.
