Bhubaneswar: Construction of the much-awaited Mahipur-Nuagaon Railway Section of the ongoing Khurda Road-Balangir Rail Line project has been completed. The line now awaits clearance from the Commissioner of Railway Safety for commissioning, the East Coast Railway informed.
The Khurda Road-Bypass Line has also been completed, the ECoR added.
The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) South Eastern Circle, Kolkata will inspect the 13.050 Kms long rail line between Mahipur to Nuagaon Station of the ongoing Khurda Road-Balangir Rail Line project on March 23 (Wednesday).
Similarly, 3.099Kms long Khurda Road Bypass Line will be inspected on the following day. All Safety-related works in the new line will be inspected and thoroughly checked before commissioning.
“For the aforementioned inspection work, it has been decided to cancel 18424 Nayagarh Town-Bhubaneswar Express on March 23, for movement of different types of machinery and inspection trains in the section,” a senior official of ECoR said.
