Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police has issued a traffic advisory for Bhubaneswar in view of the upcoming Budget session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly. The Budget session will held in two phases from February 13.
As per the traffic advisory issued on Tuesday, the following restrictions will be in place on all days during the Assembly session:
- Vehicles coming from Housing Board Square will be diverted from Keshari Talkies Square towards the left.
- Vehicles coming from AG Square towards PMG will take a diversion from Jaydev Bhawan and proceed on Indira Gandhi Park road.
- All vehicles coming from the Master Canteen side towards PMG Square will be diverted near the adjoining lanes at Lower PMG.
- All vehicles coming from 120 Infantry Battalion Square will not be allowed to proceed towards Rabindra Mandap. They will be diverted towards the Power House Square.
- Vehicles coming from Raj Bhawan Square towards MLA Colony and Rabindra Mandap will be diverted towards Shastri Nagar Square.
However, the above mentioned traffic restrictions will not be applicable for the emergency vehicles, including police, Fire Services, and ambulance. In addition, vehicles authorised to enter the official buildings including the State Assembly, the State Secretariat and other offices located in this area will not come under the purview of the traffic restriction.
