**Bhubaneswar:** Five persons involved in the clash between two groups and subsequent attack on police personnel at Raghunath Nagar in Khandagiri area of Bhubaneswar in October this year have been arrested by the Commissionerate Police.
Bhubaneswar DCP Anup Kumar Sahoo informed that five persons including the prime accused in the group clash between residents of Sarakantara and Raghunath Nagar have been arrested by Khandagiri Police today.
An Indica car, two daggers, one pistol and three rounds of live ammunition have been seized from possession of the accused who were found to be involved in five more cases, he added.
Reportedly, some miscreants from Sarakantara had on night of October 2 hurled bombs at some houses of Raghunath Nagar to avenge a fellow resident, who had been thrashed and handed over to police by residents of Raghunath Nagar few days earlier after he attacked a local.
Irate over the incident, residents of Raghunath Nagar had staged a road blockade and also attacked the personnel of a PCR van in which two policemen including Khandagiri IIC sustained injuries while they were trying to maintain the law and order situation.
