Commissionerate Police Provides ‘Green Corridor’ For Ambulance Movement For Critical Medical Needs

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to evince its motto “We Dare We Care” in true letter and spirit, the Twin City Commissionerate Police has been providing ‘Green Corridor’ to facilitate shifting of patients in need of critical medical procedures.

A recent instance is that of shifting patients from two private hospitals to the airport here for heart and lungs transplantation at the healthcare facilities outside Odisha.

It is evident from a tweet by the DCP Traffic that mentions, “Green Corridor was facilitated by @cpbbsrctc on 7th & 8th Oct. 2020 to shift patients in need of urgent heart & lungs transplantation from AMRI & KIMS hospitals to BPI Airport. Ambulances were escorted by ACP Traffic & his IIC for hassle free movement. Thank U for the cooperation.”

Lauding the noble gesture, Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi retweeted, “Good work by @DCP_Traffic. Just for information of everyone we provide Green Corridor for ambulance movement, as a standard policy, for transplant or other critical medical procedures on request from hospitals/family members of patients.”
