Bhubaneswar: While the Opposition BJP and Congress created ruckus in Odisha Assembly on the first day of Budget Session over Minister Naba Kisore Das murder probe, the latter’s daughter Deepali Das expressed her gratitude to the Chief Minister for standing rock solid with her family at this hour of grief.
“After my father’s passing away, the Chief Minister has stood with me and my family like a father. His blessings are with us. So, my family and myself will remain ever grateful to him,” said Deepali speaking to reporters today.
She said that she and her family has complete faith in Chief Minister and firmly believed that they will get justice in connection with her father’s murder.
“Lastly, I will say that the Crime Branch probing my father’s case is being monitored by a judge of repute,” she added.
Deepali requested all not to make her father’s death a political issue.
“One thing I will request all on behalf of my family with folded hands not to make my father’s death a political issue,” she appealed.
She expressed her gratitude to the people of Odisha with folded hands for the overwhelming sympathy they have extended to her family at hour of crisis.
Deepali said that she and her family are disturbed and are yet to come out of the shock.
“We had never imagined that something like this will ever happen,” she added.
She refused to make any comments on the Crime Branch probe till the agency comes out with its final report.
Responding to reporters on does she not wish that the probe is completed early, Deepali said, “This is a very sensitive case. It’s about my father’s life. So Crime Branch is taking its own time to conduct the probe. After the process is over we will definitely talk about it”.
Responding to another question from reporters about her being launched into politics, Deepali while refusing to make any comment said that they will respect whatever decision is taken by the Chief Minister.
