According to reports, the eggs were hurled upon the Inspector-In-Charge of Angul Town Police Station.
“We are here trying to maintain the law and order situation but some Congress protesters threw eggs on us,” said Angul Additional SP Pradeep Mishra.
Notably, Pradhan along with some other Congress workers were arrested on Tuesday during the 12-hour Odisha Bandh call given by the party.
Speaking on the matter, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee President Prasad Harichandan, who was also present at the spot, said, “Police on the behest of the State Government have arrested our activists preferring false cases against them and they should be freed immediately, or else, we will intensify our protest.”
