Congress MLA Krushna Chandra Sagaria Resigns From PCC General Secretary Post

**Bhubaneswar:** Soon after he was removed from the post of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Dalit Cell chief and was appointed as PCC general secretary on Saturday last week, Congress MLA from Koraput Krushna Chandra Sagaria resigned today (Monday) from the new post of PCC general secretary.

He has sent his resignation letter to both PCC president Niranjan Patnaik and AICC Odisha in-charge Jitendra Singh.

He, however, said that he has not yet decided whether to stay or resign from Congress.
Convening a press meet here in the afternoon hours after the vital meeting of PCC Screening Committee, peeved Sagaria said, “After being the PCC SC Cell president, be it Dana Majhi incident, Kashipur mango kernel issue, Kunduli issue, etc all concerning Dalit issues, we have highlighted and protested against them both at the State and national level. Also within the Congress party and outside, I’ve raised the voice of Dalits.”

“But only to heckle and offend me, such a decision of removing me from the PCC SC Cell president post was taken. Instead I was made the general secretary. Hence, I can’t work under the leader nursing anti-Dalit mentality. My conscience bites. I hereby tender resignation from the general secretary post today. This letter I have already sent to the PCC president and AICC Odisha in-charge,” he fumed.

OMMCOM NEWS tried to avail Odisha PCC president’s reactions but could not till the filing of the news.
