Homeguard’s Body Recovered Near Rayagada Railway Station

Rayagada: The body of a home guard was recovered from near the Rayagada railway station in Odisha on Monday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Harishankar Rao. He has been serving as a cook at the residence of the Rayagada SP.

According to reports, the deceased Rao went to his relative’s house at Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday. He returned by train last night and today his body was found near the railway station.

While the cause of the constable’s death is yet to be ascertained, the police have sent the body for post-mortem and launched an investigation into the incident.
