Puri: Exactly three days after two massive containers of a sunken cargo ship filled with household goods were washed ashore on Satabhaya beach in Gahirmatha marine sanctuary in Rajnagar block, another container has been washed ashore at Puri beach on Thursday.
Some fishermen today morning spotted the container floating in the Bay of Bengal about 1.5 km off the coast near Penthakata in Puri and informed the police.
Currently, the container has been washed ashore near the Ganga Devi Mandir close to the Shree Jagannath Sanskrit University.
A curious crowd of around hundred people has gathered at the spot to have a view of the container.
It is pertinent of mention here that recently, MV ITT Puma owned by a logistics company called ITT Lines Pvt Ltd and registered as a cargo vessel in Mumbai was en route to Port Blair from Kolkata carrying household materials sank around 90 nautical miles south of Sagar Island in West Bengal last week.
