Contractor Arrested For Getting Security Deposit Released By Forging BDO’s Signature

Khordha: Tangi police have arrested a contractor for allegedly withdrawing a security deposit kept with the bank by forging the signature of the Tangi Block Development Officer (BDO).

According to reports, a contractor identified as one Kishore Behera allegedly got released the security deposit of Rs 15 lakh submitted by him against tenders awarded to him in Tangi block by submitting a letter to the bank concerned by forging the BDO’s signature.

Following an FIR by the BDO, Tangi police have arrested Behera and forwarded him to court.
