Bhubaneswar: The Data Entry Operator (DEO) and In-charge Secretary of Sibatala PACS (Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society) under Tarva Block in Subarnapur district were apprehended by Odisha Vigilance today on charges of taking a bribe.
DEO Debananda Naik and Secretary Kuna Naik were apprehended while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000 from a complainant in connection with paddy sale. The entire bribe money has been recovered from both the accused and seized.
A case in this regard has been registered at Sambalpur Vigilance Police Station. Further investigation is in progress.
