Nuapada: A Sub-Inspector died after a coal-laden truck ran over him on National Highway 353 near Gotama under Jonk police limits in Nuapada district on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Sudhanshu Sekhar Panday. He had been recently posted at Khariar Road for training after his promotion.
Panday was waiting outside a barber shop on the roadside when the accident occurred. He had planned for a haircut ahead of visiting his home at Buergaon village in Boden block of the district for Nuakhai.
