Khordha: Khordha Superintendent of Police (SP) Siddharth Kataria today suspended Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Jankia police station Niranjan Mohanty for allegedly thrashing a Panchayat Samiti Member, a Ward Member and others in a drunken state on Sunday.
According to reports, ASI Mohanty thrashed a Jankia Panchayat Samiti Member and a Ward Member while they had visited Jankia police station on Sunday.
Mohanty had also misbehaved with some locals and other staff members of the police station in an inebriated state. A complaint was registered in the police station in this regard.
Khordha SP after conducting an enquiry into the matter suspended ASI Mohanty.
