**Rourkela**: The Rourkela police arrested three persons here for helping cadres of Jharkhand-based criminal outfit People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI).
Surendra Nanda, his son Abhendra Nanda and his nephew Kulesh Nanda were arrested for allegedly providing all kinds of facilities for the dreaded outfit for a long time, police said.
According to reports, a team of District Voluntary Force (DVF), on the basis of a tip-off, raided a home here and seized huge amount of explosive materials.
Speaking about the operation, Sundargarh SP Nikhil Kumar Kanodia said a DVF along with some police officers had raided a home in a village here after getting information that the PFLI members are hiding in the place for a long time.”
However, some cadre PFLI members managed to flee the spot but three persons who were helping the criminals were arrested, the SP added.
During the raid, 8 single barrel country-made rifles, 41 ammunitions and one motorcycle were seized from the spot.
The SP also informed that these PLFI members were involved in loot case of Utkal Grameen Bank at Maldiha Rajgangpur branch last month.
