As per reports, the accused Mazumdar had conducted a surprise raid at the properties of the Poly Traders Shop owner on August 8 and instructed him to apply for a license. However, Mazumdar demanded Rs. 5,000 to issue the license. Feeling harassed, the complainant reported the incident to the Vigilance department.
