Koraput: Three persons, including two minors, were arrested and sent to custody on Monday for allegedly killing a liquor vendor for refusing to give the former 20 sachets of country liquor free of cost. Though the gruesome incident occurred in the Dhubli area under Borigumma police limits in Odisha’s Korapur district on December 30, it came to light on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Umesh Yadav, a native of Bihar.
According to reports, the three accused went to the country liquor outlet at Borigumma and demanded 20 sachets of country liquor from Yadav on the fateful day. When Yadav refused to oblige the accused they attacked him with wooden sticks killing him on the spot. After committing the crime, the accused tried to make it appear as a suicide.
