Jharsuguda: A couple was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Hanumanmandirapada under Brajarajnagar police limits in Jharsuguda district.
As per reports, the body of the wife was recovered four days after her death. Her body was recovered after locals reported a foul smell emanating from their house. Her husband who was severely sick succumbed to his condition en route to hospital.
The deceased couple have been identified as Gobind Bhoi and his wife Rukmini Bhoi.
Locals reported a foul smell emanating from their house and informed Gobind’s relatives. Upon entering the house, they found Rukmini’s body and a severely ill Gobind, who was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his condition en route.
The Orient Police are investigating the case, suspecting the couple’s death was due to excessive drinking. However, the exact cause of death is yet to be determined.
