Bhubaneswar: A tragic incident occurred in the Housing Board Colony area under Chandrasekharpur police station limits in Bhubaneswar on Saturday morning, where a couple was found hanging inside their house.
The deceased man, identified as Kumar Jiten (30), a driver by profession, was allegedly in a relationship with the woman, who is believed to be his second wife. Her identity is yet to be confirmed.
According to neighbours, a heated argument between Jiten and the woman on Friday afternoon may have led to the tragic incident. The couple had left their room door open before allegedly taking their own lives.
Jiten’s employer revealed that he was staying in the house as a caretaker and the woman was also staying with him for the last two months ago. Jiten was already married having three children. Recently, I suggested him to return to his family and had warned him against such illicit affair. He had told me he would soon end the relationship, the employer said.
Chandrasekharpur police have launched an investigation into the incident. “We have informed the family members of the deceased. We can extract more details about the case once they arrive,” a Chandrasekhar police IIC stated.
