Bhubaneswar: A young couple allegedly committed suicide, leaving their minor daughter behind at Jogimath village in Keonjhar district, on Saturday.
The bodies of the couple Raibu Munda and Gauri Munda were found hanging from a tree near a forest. A family dispute is believed to have prompted the couple to take their own lives, according to reports.
The tragedy leaves behind a devastating legacy, particularly for their five-month-old daughter, who has lost both parents in a single, heartbreaking event.
As per reports, the couple had a heated argument on Friday night. The argument escalated, and in a fit of rage, they smashed their mobile phones on the ground. The next morning, locals found them hanging from a tree.
Police are meanwhile probing the circumstances surrounding the incident.
