Baripada: In a tragic incident, a couple was killed on Thursday afternoon on Dwarasuni ghat road on national highway no. 49 near Bangiriposi in Mayurbhanj district in a road accident.
According to reports, the couple was travelling to Baripada from Bisoi on a motorcycle. The couple’s bike had a head-on collision with a truck on the Dwarasuni Ghat road.
The couple died on the spot. The truck which had caused the accident has hit a tree on the roadside. The driver of the truck has fled the spot.
Bangiriposi police on reaching the spot have initiated a probe into the incident.
