Bhubaneswar: A couple died on the spot after a speeding truck mowed them down near Palasuni Square in the capital city of Bhubaneswar on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, the fatal accident occurred when the man and his wife were crossing the road this morning. Suddenly, a speeding truck arrived on the spot and ran over the woman killing her on the spot. Even as the mutilated body of the woman lay on the road, the truck dragged her husband for nearly a km towards Satya Vihar in the capital city. He too breathed his last.
While the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, police reached the spot and initiated a probe.
