Bhubaneswar: Covid-19 active caseload in the city breached the 10,000 mark by logging 10,177 active cases with reports of 1,414 new positives in the last 24 hours (till 9 AM of today), according to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Out of the new positives, 1,370 are local contact cases, while the remaining 44 are quarantine cases.
A total of 733 persons recovered from Covid-19 in the city during the same period taking the total number of recoveries from the ailment to 1,26,409.
With no fatalities due to Covid-19 reported from the city during the same period, the Covid death toll remained at 1105.
While new cases have been reported from almost every part of the city, certain localities reported a very high number of cases Khandagiri (177), and Chandrasekharpur (123).
