Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government on Monday announced the passengers coming from foreign countries will receive Rs 15,000 incentive for registration and home isolation to prevent the outbreak of COVID-19.
With the closure of institutions and offices in many countries, a huge surge of people returning from foreign countries may lead to the spread of coronavirus in Odisha. As a precautionary measure, the State Government has instructed mandatory registration of people coming from abroad.
They have been instructed to register in the toll-free number 104 or online portal – https://covid19.odisha.gov.in. It should be done within 24 hours of arrival with basic details and phone numbers.
However, advance registration before arrival will be highly preferable. Besides, they will be required to be in home quarantine for 14 days. They will be given an incentive of Rs 15,000 for Registration and Home Isolation. Registrations can be done by the passenger or relatives or friends.
