Bhubaneswar: Despite a continuous decline in detection of new Covid-19 positive cases in Bhubaneswar, the city recorded two deaths due to the disease in the last 24 hours taking the death toll due to the deadly disease to 148.
Sharing an update on Twitter today, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has informed that 189 new Covid-19 positive cases have been detected in the city in the last 24 hours till 9 AM today.
Out of the new cases, 47 are quarantine cases and the remaining 142 are local contact cases.
As many as 267 Covid patients have recovered from disease in the last 24 hours taking the total number of recoveries in the city to 25,619. The city as on date has 28299 Covid positive cases out which 2511 are active cases.
The maximum number of local contact cases have been reported from IRC Village locality-11, Khandagiri and Bomikhal localities 9 each, and 6 cases each from Nayapalli, Baramunda, and Old Town areas.
