Bhubaneswar: The Covid-19 curve is flattening or plateauing in Bhubaneswar, informed Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), Prem Chandra Chaudhary.
“Covid curve is plateauing in Bhubaneswar. Study shows that it is plateauing and cases are on the decline,” claimed Chaudhary speaking to reporters.
“This is the trend across the world and I am sure the trend is same in Bhubaneswar,” he added.
The BMC Commissioner said that while earlier 400-500 new Covid-19 cases were detected in Bhubaneswar daily now it is within 300.
The situation will further improve in the coming days he added.
He said health workers are conducting a door-to-door thermal screening of the residents in Bhubaneswar.
Health workers are enquiring about fever, cough and other ailments from the residents, he added.
Chaudhary further informed that enforcement activities have been increased in Bhubaneswar both by the police as well as BMC.
Several teams of the police jointly with BMC officials are engaged in enforcement activities, he added.
