Bhubaneswar: Next of kin of persons who have succumbed to Covid-19 are being provided with ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 from the disaster management fund.
Next of kin of persons who had succumbed to Covid-19 on or before March 20, 2022, have not received the ex-gratia amount can apply offline to Collectors along with necessary documents or apply online through the website https://caps.odisha.gov.in within the next 60 days or May 28, 2022.
In the event of any person succumbing to Covid-19 after March 20, 2022, or in future, their next of kin can apply offline for the ex-gratia with necessary documents within 90 days of the death to the Collector or online through the website https://caps.odisha.gov.in
Further, in the event of any applicant failing to apply for the ex-gratia within the aforementioned time limit due to some problem they can apply through Grievance Redressal Committee formed in each district.
Each Grievance Redressal Committee will take appropriate steps after scrutinizing and conducting an inquiry on the basis of information and documents provided by the applicant.
Ex-gratia will be provided to the next of kin of those killed due to Covid-19 within 30 days of applying.
The Special Relief Commissioner has informed that the general public can seek assistance by dialling toll-free helpline no. 15535.
