Jajpur: In a preventive measure taken by the authorities, 3 doctors, 19 nurses & paramedic staff put in quarantine as they have come in contact with recent COVID19 positive cases, informs Jajpur Collector Ranjan Kumar Das.
“It has been found out that the recent positive cases had come in contact with the para medics during their visit to hospital’s OPD. So thay have been taken to the Covid Care centre in Jajpur and their family members have been advised to observe home quarantine,” elaborated the District Collector.
Talking about the visit of expert team to the district, he said “As 5 new cases have surfaced, the surveillance team will look into the scenario and may suggest augmentation of services, following of any more protocols and may even issue advisory to the doctors. They may suggest more measures to contain the virus.”
He further informed, ” We already had a video conference with the BDOs Tehsildars, IICs, CDPOs and local field functionaries. Our strategy is to identify the West Bengal returnees and put them in State quarantine centres. Active surveillance in containment areas have started from today and there is door-to-door sample collection.”
