Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation today withdrew the ‘Containment’ order on Pattapole area of the city which was imposed on April 4.
The containment order was withdrawn by the CMC after all the samples of primary contacts and symptomatic cases from the zone tested negative. “It is hence understood that there is no local transmission in the zone,” the CMC stated.
Earlier on April 4, the Pattapole area was declared as containment zone as a positive COVID-19 case was detected. “Since the area is densely populated, the imposition was necessary to restrict movement of personnel or vehicle to ensure that active surveillance could be done effectively,” the CMC added.
However, the rgular restrictions of lockdown shall prevail till further orders in the Pattapole area of Cuttack, a notification issued by the Corporation read.
