COVID-19 In Odisha: Govt Offices In Jajpur Shut As Senior Official Tests Positive
Jajpur: In the wake of rising cases of COVID-19 in the Jajpur, the district administration today closed all Government offices for citizens. The decision came after a senior official of the district tested positive for novel coronavirus.
“No public individually or in groups shall visit the public offices throughout Jajpur district till 08.07.2020 midnight. However, the public offices will function by adopting the social distancing measures, use of masks and other COVID-19 guidelines,” an official order of the district administration stated.
The order further read, “It is observed that after partial relaxation of lockdown norms, a large number of people are coming to the Collectorate and other Government offices located at District Headquarters in connection with various works and grievances which are not emergent in nature.”
In case of urgency, people may contact the head of the office through telephone, WhatsApp and e-mail. The concerned officer will decide the nature of urgency of the work and act upon accordingly.
