Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today expressed his gratitude to the people of Odisha for giving wholehearted support to ‘Janata Curfew’ and has appealed for similar cooperation from the people of Odisha for the ‘Lock Down.
Naveen was seen atop his residence at 5 pm today waving hands and clapping for the brave soldiers who are fighting Coronavirus in India and abroad. The Chief Minister was also beating a ‘Ghanta’, to offer his gratutude to the doctors, para-medical staff, policemen and all engaged in emergency services during these critical times.
Some members of the COVID-19 management team were also seen outside the Lok Seva Bhavan with placards and bells. They included Chief Spokesperson Subroto Bagchi, Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy, Development Commissioner Suresh Mohapatra, National Health Mission director Shalini Pandit, Health Secretary Nikunja Dhal and 5-T Secretary VK Pandian.
All these officers stood outside the Lok Seva Bhavan at 5 pm and paid their respect to the emergency services resources. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had requested all Indians to do this act in reverring the people engaged in fighting COVID-19.
Odisha CM had thanked PM Modi and assured the State’s participation in this ritual.
