Bhubaneswar: The State Government on Tuesday constituted a task force for the management of medical oxygen in Odisha. The task force comprising 9 members, will prepare and implement a plan for provisioning medical oxygen in all healthcare facilities in the State.
The members of the task force are as below:
The Task Force will take up initiatives for increasing production and provisioning of medical oxygen in the State and engage with stakeholders to improve the availability of cylinders and tankers.
It would take up activities to enhance oxygen refilling capacity and facilitate smooth logistics for the transport of medical oxygen.
Besides, the Task Force will be responsible for planning and implementing in-situ production and distribution of medical oxygen in health facilities. The Task Force would also plan for long-term medical oxygen security in Odisha, a notification issued by Additional Chief Secretary (Health) PK Mohapatra stated.
