Bhubaneswar: The highest single-day death toll of 12 was recorded in Odisha today even as the total coronavirus-related deaths touched 247, informed H&FW Department.
Here is the list of fatalities:
- A 55-year old Male of Mayurbhanj district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
- A 36-year old male of Kendrapada district who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.
- A 78-year old female of Sambalpur district who was also suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
- A 55-year old male of Bhadrak district who was also suffering from Diabetes.
- A 61-year old male of Dhenkanal district who was also suffering from Diabetes & hypertension.
- A 77-year old male of Sundergarh district.
- A 77-year old male of Sundergarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes, hypertension & Chronic Kidney Disease.
- A 66-year old male of Sundergarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes & Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
- A 52-year old male of Ganjam district.
- A 50-year old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes.
- A 62-year old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
- A 34-year old male of Gajapati district who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.

The death toll in Ganjam district on Friday reached 123. Apart from the southern district, there have been 31 deaths in Khordha, 16 in Sundargarh, 15 in Gajapati, 11 in Cuttack, 10 in Rayagada, 4 in Bhadrak, Puri and Nayagarh, 3 in Balasore, Jajpur, Kandhamal and Kendrapada, 2 in Angul, Jagatsinghpur, Kalahandi, Malkangiri and Sambalpur and one each from Bargarh, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda and Mayurbhanj districts.
