Bhubaneswar: As many as 434 new positive cases of COVID-19 were detected in Odisha till midnight of Wednesday, while five more COVID patients have succumbed to the disease today.
As informed by the I&PR Department through a tweet, among the 434 new cases, 249 are in Quarantine and 185 are Local contacts. District-wise details of the cases are as under.

Details of the deceased COVID positive patients, as shared by the H&FW Department are as under.
1. A 57-year-old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & COPD.
2. A 59-year-old female of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
3. A 54-year-old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
4. A 82-year-old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
5. A 52-year-old male of Nayagarh district.
