COVID-19 Patient Death In Dhenkanal DHH: CDMO Dismisses Pharmacist

Dhenkanal: The heartrending video of a desperate woman trying to resuscitate her husband t Dhenkanal district headquarters hospital (DHH) is still fresh. Taking necessary action, CDMO today suspended the pharmacist and recommended action against one Ayush doctor.

On July 15, a man who was tested positive for COVID-19 collapsed at the entrance of the fever and flu clinic of the DHH. His wife made repeated attempts to revive him but failed. She was sobbing helplessly at the doorway and was seen seeking help. The ordeal of the woman was recorded on camera by locals and shared on social media.

The video soon viral with many pointing out medical negligence. Then Chief District Medical Officer Dr Sujatarani Mishra had denied any such allegations. But had also formed a team for an in-detail investigation.
