Bhubaneswar: In view of the sudden increase in Covid-19 positive cases within the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) area over the last few days, the civic body issued an advisory making proper wearing of masks mandatory for all citizens residing within its area as well as outside citizens coming to its area or present in its area while moving out and while in public places to check the spread of infectious disease and containment of Covid-19.
As per the advisory, all citizens are required to maintain social distancing of 2 meters among themselves at all times while in public places.
All Malls/Shop/Store Owners etc. shall ensure social distancing about 2 meters within their premises. The responsibility for maintenance of social distancing lies with the Owner of the premises, the advisory added.
It said that citizens are advised to maintain hand hygiene frequently and observe appropriate coughing/ sneezing etiquette at all times and are advised to refrain from spitting in public places.
Besides, the CEO/ Managers/ Head of the offices of Government, as well as private offices, shall ensure that their employees are observing COVID appropriate behaviour in their Office premises, the advisory said.
The advisory has warned that any violations on the above-mentioned aspect will attract penal provisions of the Odisha COVID- 19 Regulations and amendments made from time to time.
