Bhubaneswar: The total number of COVID-19 tests conducted in Ganjam district of Odisha has crossed one lakh mark, informed Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange on Friday.
He said that while there is an increase in the number of testing, the numbers of positive cases are now decreasing. The death rate due to COVID-19 is in a declining stage because of early screening, plasma donation and adequate COVID facilities in the district.
The fear of COVID-19 among the people has been replaced with awareness. Asymptomatic and mild cases are now allowed for Home Isolation with proper procedure, he added.
Kulange urged the people to follow the guidelines and come forward for testing which is being done free of cost. He also thanked the people of the district for putting up a brave fight against COVID-19.
