Bhubaneswar: Total 44,880 persons received the COVID-19 vaccines today in Odisha at 436 sessions. In the first phase, health workers are being vaccinated for COVID-19.
Total two cases of Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI) were reported across the State today, the Health Department informed.
According to the Health Department, a 27 year-old staff nurse (female) in Bargarh district developed fever today. She received the vaccine on January 16. She is admitted to a hospital and is under observation. She is keeping well.
In a similar case, a 45-year-old Asha worker of Jagatsinghpur district got the vaccine on January 19. She developed headache and fainted on January 20. The woman has been admitted to the district headquarters hospital and is currently keeping well, the Health Department informed.
