Bhubaneswar: As many as 1,89,477 beneficiaries were vaccinated for COVID-19 across the State on Tuesday. The Health and Family Welfare Department has designated 2,373 active sites for administration of vaccines. Out of these, COVAXIN is being administered at 656 sites while at 467 sites, CORBEVAX vaccine is administered to the beneficiaries.
Out of the vaccines administered on Tuesday. total 1,73,370 precaution doses were given to the eligible beneficiaries, a data sheet shared by the Health and Family Welfare Department revealed.
So far, 69% healthcare workers have been jabbed with the precaution dose while 100% frontline workers have been covered. Similarly, more than 1.43 lakh persons over 60 years age have received the precaution dose. More than 2.91 lakh precaution doses have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 to 59 years.
Till August 9, around 5 lakh precaution doses were administered across Odisha.
Odisha boasts of administering more than 7.24 crore COVID-19 vaccines to beneficiaries across the State. As many as 5,38,633 pregnant women have been vaccinated for COVID-19 in the State, the Health Department data reflected.
On Tuesday, 642 healthcare workers, 1,396 frontline workers, 1,51,094 persons in 18-59 age group and 20,238 persons above 60 years of age, were jabbed with the precaution dose. In Odisha, around 100% healthcare workers have been vaccinated with first and second doses of the COVID jab. Same is the case with frontline workers.
92% of people more than 60 years have received the first dose, while 97% have been vaccinated with the second dose. Similarly, 95% in the age group of 18-59 have been vaccinated with the first dose, while, 94% have been covered with the second dose, in the same age group, the Health Department data stated.
