Bhubaneswar: Covid-19 cases may continue to rise in Odisha for another two months. As per analysis, the rising trend is to be witnessed till March, said Public Health Director Niranjan Mishra on Wednesday.
He, however, said that more transmissibility of Covid-19 cases have also been recorded in other metro cities, States, and countries, while a majority of patients are asymptomatic or mild symptomatic.
Four districts in the State are recording high Test Positivity Rate (TPR), but the hospitalization rate, ICU occupancy, and death rate are low.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has instructed to be prepared with the infrastructure as done during the second wave. The number of hospital beds will be increased depending on the rise in cases, added Mishra.
