Bhubaneswar: As per Advance Estimates (AE) for 2020-21 the country’s per capita income is Rs 1, 26,968 that of Odisha is Rs 1, 02,156. Therefore the difference between the national per capita income and the State per capita income is Rs 24,812.
This was revealed by Minister Planning and Convergence Padmanabha Behera in a written reply to a question by Opposition Chief Whip and BJP MLA from Keonjhar Mohan Charan Majhi.
Behera informed that while the economic growth of the State was 7.5% from 2012-13 to 2019-20 at 2011-12 (constant prices), currently because of Covid situation the Advanced Estimate for 2020-21 has been projected at -4.92%.
The State’s 7.05% growth rate from 2012-13 to 2019-20 (AE) is higher compared to the national growth rate of 6.61%, he added.
The Minister further informed that the per capita loan of the State which was Rs 9385.35 in 2010-11 has increased to Rs 24236.80. This is an increase of 385.15% over that of 2010-11.
