Bhubaneswar: Nine more micro-containment zones were created by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) in the city today as Covid spread to more areas which include residential complexes and commercial establishments.
While the civic body has created five micro-containment zones in the South-East Zone, it has created four such Zones in the South-West Zone.
In the South-East Zone, Plot no-539 Saheed Nagar in Ward no.30, B-3 Jharpada in Ward no.32, Plot no. 147 Laxmi Sagar in Ward no.43, Plot no.1577/2568 Palaspalli in Ward no.53, Tankapani Road Lane in Ward no.58 have been declared as micro-containment zones by the BMC.
Similarly, in the South-West Zone, Bank of India Zonal Office at Jayadev Vihar in Ward no. 27, Plot no.86 at Surya Nagar in Ward no.46 and Flat no.222B at Brundaban Garden Khandagiri in Ward no. 49 have been declared as micro-containment zones by the BMC.
The number of active cases in the city rose to 4622 with the addition of 803 cases in the city.
