Bhubaneswar: A staggering 755 (94%) of the new 803 Covid cases detected in the city are local contact cases, while the remaining 48 are quarantine cases.
According to the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), as many as 803 new cases of Covid-19 were detected in the city in the last 24 hours (till 9 AM today) as against 710 on Monday.
The Covid-19 daily case count in the city in the last 24 hours has registered a 13.10% increase on the previous day.
The city currently has 4622 active cases against 3928 on Tuesday, a 17.67% rise.
A total of 109 Covid patients have recovered from the disease during the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries from Covid in the city to 1,23,033.
No new fatalities due to Covid-19 were reported /confirmed from the city and the death toll currently stands at 1103.
