Bhubaneswar: Active Covid-19 cases in the city climbed to 9,496 with reports of 1,402 new positives in the last 24 hours (till 9 AM of today), according to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Out of the new positives, 1,358 are local contact cases, while the remaining 44 are quarantine cases.
A total of 696 persons recovered from Covid-19 in the city during the same period taking the total number of recoveries from the ailment to 1,25,676.
No new fatalities due to Covid were reported from the city during the same period with the toll remaining at 1105.
